Hi all
There is a problem with hanging gui when copying via web file manager. Isn't nas4free multithreading? I'm copying 2TB data between two drives, and can't do anything else in gui.
Is it a bug or a feature?
This is the old XigmaNAS forum in read only mode,
it will taken offline by the end of march 2021!
I like to aks Users and Admins to rewrite/take over important post from here into the new fresh main forum!
Its not possible for us to export from here and import it to the main forum!

I remember me trying to copy a directory (about 7GB ) and I thought too that it hanged, but actually it was just loading until the copy process finished
For me the time was about a minute or so but for you ( if the webui does not timeout) it should be several hours for 2TB.
Have you actually tried to have another instance of the webui in a new tab and verify if it responds?

Hi Skow29,
File manager (Quixplorer) in WebGUI is not meant bulk file transfer/copying. It is meant to be used for simple administrative tasks, no it is not multithreaded as far as I know. For what you are doing it is best to use shell/CLI.
