Processor upgrade

Post by qzbman »

My NAS is running the latest build 9.1.0.1 (build 162) and running fine.

Quick question. I want to upgrade my current processor (Athlon x2 3800+) to a low voltage model (Athlon x2 4850e).

Assuming no bios update is necessary, do I need to do anything other (NAS4 free wise) than drop it in and reboot?

Thanks.

save your actual config in a safe place, this time you probably do not need it, but perhaps , next time.

and yes, you only need to replace CPU and boot same actual N4F

Reason: correct typo
