Hi All,
I have my freenas 7.2 working for several years with no problems.
suddenly (well not really, after some electricity outage) I am suffering from network problems.
when the servers starts everything is fine, but after some time the newtwork behaves very strange:
1. I cannot access webgui
2. transferring files via FTP is fine and then stops completely/slows down redically
3. accessing files via NFS is slow/cannot access at all.
when I tried using NAS4FREE 9 everything seemed to be fine (just a test case - I cannot use it regularly since there is no squeezebox server support).
How can I debug this problem/troublesdhoot it?
Thanks

Re: Network issues - Freenas 7.2
Get your config file and reinstall the thingie. After that reimport the config file.

Re: Network issues - Freenas 7.2
do you have full or embedded install?
if embedded, try another usb stick because they will die after some years.

OK I will, but I don't understand the connection, the OS is up and running just behaves strangely.

We had a case here, with the same errors like you. Another Stick solved it. But nobody could explain it.
I have a guess for that case -> maybe heat and the stick goes slow.
But if you had an electricity outage, maybe the stick was grilled with a too high peak, when the electricity came back. Who knows
Oh, and here...try this:
