problema minidlna mkv

ho da poco installano nas4free e minidlna seguendo la guida in questo forum
il mio problema è che nella cartella viede ho due file uno MKV e l'altro AVI,
AVI funziona ma mkv no
mi potete aiutare

minidlna do not transcode, so if your Upnp render do not support mkv, minidlna can't do nothing.

what player do you use in your SAMSUNG?.

I recommended to use VLC for optimun performance.

i use the "allshare" for dlna but no see the mkv but only avi also i go in the page web minidlna i see thet no update file

sorry, but I think that problem is in the SAMSUNG side not in the minidlna side.


I use filexplorer and VLC to play files, no need to use Upnp or DLNA share to see video files in Android devices.

i try other mkv of 400 MB (a trailer The Hobbit 3D) and this work
is possible that the problem is a the size of the file?
there a limitation?

NO, normally limitations are:
Bit Rate
Codec to encode video ( mkv is a container)

ok i try upload file mkv with another pc (windows7) and in this method work, but with my mac not work
