It appears this may be part of that AIO bug (I think you may be aware of it) . I had thought all of these bugs had been fixed, but it seems not. Could this be part of the problem you are having with istgt from your other post ? Maybe istgt is not to blame?
Unfortunately I have not been able to recreate this behavior so I do not have any good suggestions for you, sorry.
I was aware of the AIO bug, but I thought it was fixed with the new samba version, but I guess it's still isn't perfect. I haven't had long term usage yet, but so far the new version performs much better so this occasional crash isn't too bad as of yet. I just gave up on istgt and now just run my torrents over cifs, which I was trying to avoid, but have little choice. I still have no idea what could be the issue with istgt, but thanks for the info and for now I'll just leave it be.
