I have tested since about revision 9.1.3xx but I'd like to add this easily implemented suggestion if it has not be done already:
Please compile with support for high speed mellanox ethernet adapters.
just add the following line to KERNCONF file.
device mlxen # ConnectX Ethernet support
as per:
https://wiki.freebsd.org/InfiniBand
This driver was ported over when OFED 1.5.3 was ported over to FREEBSD. The ConnectX cards (the mlxen) are ethernet cards so you won't have to recompile with full OFED support.
