Hi,
I am hoping NAS4Free can have OFED compiled into it as standard. Infiniband hardware is cheap and high performance (~$100 for 2 cards and cable) - perfect for the nerd at home.
I was able to get the kernel-space OFED stuff working (drivers etc.) but not the user space tools. Other forum members have experienced the same. I guess the nas4free build script doens't pick up changes to /etc/src... which makes sense.
If I get sometime I'll give it another ago and provide more details.
Instructions are as follows:

Thanks for your time!

Morgan

Re: OFED Support
+1, "we ALL need more speed".
If only this is need to be done, for basic support, why not.

Hello,
may I ask please, is 10 GBit Ethernet not enough for the speed needs a NAS (with Hard Disks) can realisticly deliver ?
