S.M.A.R.T errors wich is not there?

I have a setup with 9 RED western digital.
When i run smart test it sometimes give smart error on compleatly different discs.

I have read that if there is activity on the disc it may in some cases give an faulty test with S.M.A.R.T

I can`t belive that 4-5 out of 9 almost new hdd`s is gone.

I guess that it fails now as i am transfering content to the pools

Have you tried checking each disk separately? As in adding them as separate drives then seeing how it goes? Its not uncommon for drives to go or be bad even if new. I've ordered seagates a bulk of 12 and one ended up going bad after I copied data to it.

Hello,

Please provide more hardware information and how the disks are conected (controller/card) and inform us which errors SMART reports.

/dev/ada4 and 5 is a part of a raidz wich i can format and destroy.
Data wich was there is moved/copy to a healthy raidz

/dev/ada3 seems to be fine so i can replace it with maybe /dev/ada1?

You get errors in ada1,4,5 and you give us the log of ada0??

It has to do with the brand new conntrollers as when i put them in internal SATA ports it shows PASSED in S.M.A.R.T
