To get rid of spammers

Post by lindsay »

If you really want to get rid of spammers on this board you have to have some extra tools.
Check out phpbb addons to make it more difficult for them.

There is a lot of things to install, and there is tools wich install without edit a single file by hand

To be honest captcha works anytime, the problem is with fourums .
You have to update, and upgrade not only the files but also the themes.

There is a topic in phpbb https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... &t=2122696 .
And this is also nice to have https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... 9&t=753485

No need to install a mod....
There are a few anti spam captcha plugins that only require their files to be copied inside the forum files and they are then instantly available in the relevant section of admin panel.
Anyone of the following will do

Code: Select all

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/find-contribution/keywords_plugin-c[]_9-sc_1
my personal favourite is sortables captcha plugin....
See how easy it is to install ( only a copy-paste required) https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/view ... l/id_57741
