No Pool Found when trying to add existing pool

Post by engessa »

Earlier this week i did a fresh install of Nas4Free 9.1.0.1 and added my old ZFS pool via Disks|ZFS|Configuration|Detected. Everything worked as expected, i upgraded ZFS to version 25, was able to read and write to the pool using samba and ftp. It was a little sluggish so i decided to reboot the server and now my ZFS pool is gone.

I have tried the 'Clear config and import disks' under Disks|Management which does add all my disks correctly as 'ZFS storage pool device' under file system but when i go to Disks|ZFS|Configuration|Detected i get the 'No Pool Found' error. Probably stupid but i did try to add the disks to a new virtual device with the same name as before and a new pool but it shows up as an empty pool and all my data seems to be gone.

Code: Select all

Disk	Size	Description	Device model	Serial number	Standby time	File system	Status
ada0	953870MB	WDC WD10EADS-00L5B1 01.01A01 WDC WD10EADS-00L5B1 WD-WCAU48721103 Always on ZFS storage pool device ONLINE

ada3	953870MB	WDC WD10EADS-00L5B1 01.01A01 WDC WD10EADS-00L5B1 WD-WCAU47833968 Always on ZFS storage pool device ONLINE
ada4	381555MB	SAMSUNG HD400LD WQ100-15 SAMSUNG HD400LD S0AXJ1LP433349 Always on UFS ONLINE
ada4 is my bootdisk, the rest used to be part of a RaidZ1 config. Any ideas or tips to restore the old pool? Or can i somehow mount the disks manually to recover some of the files on it?

Zpool import would have solved the problem.

Zpool import would have solved the problem but now it is probably too late.

I know. But it didn't find any pools after the reboot.

if you push the import button twice, the second time, try to import using "-f" = force option, so next time have more patience and wait a answer.
