configuration erased when reboot

Post by nacho »

Hello:

Forgive my English.

I installed nas4free on USB. All correct and working.

I add the package openvpn. All correct and working.

Upon restart, back to the original settings and openvpn package is not installed.

What I can do to avoid losing that configuration?

thanks
Nacho.

do a full install instead of the embedded
Nas4Free 11.1.0.4.4517. Supermicro X10SLL-F, 16gb ECC, i3 4130, IBM M1015 with IT firmware. 4x 3tb WD Red, 4x 2TB Samsung F4, both GEOM AES 256 encrypted.

You can use jails to install openVPN inside, a good (and beta) jail manager is in develop: viewtopic.php?f=79&t=1654&start=25#p15396

PD: Jail is the recommended way of install packages in Nas4Free in embeded or full install to avoid conflict beween N4F and BSD.
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)
