Hello, I'm using ASROCK E350m (without USB3) mainboard with the latest nas4free version and it works fine.
Now i want to improve my backup speed and bought an eSata external harddisk cabinet (ICY BOX IB-351) and inserted a WD10EARS. The disk is recognized in BIOS but not in nas4free (no log entry, no possibility to mount it, i don't see it).
Is there any solution? What am i doing wrong?

Re: eSata hard disk
are you sure its not recognized? did you clear the disc management config?

Re: eSata hard disk
I tried 'Import Disks' and 'Clear config and Import disks'. Both functions did not show any new hard disk.
When i connect my USB2 external disk i can see information in log file that device has been found on usb, i can use this disk for backup, but it is slow.
Then if i connect eSata disk, nothing happens. So may be Hot Plugging is not supported? So i rebooted the computer and checked in BIOS -> eSata disk found (WD10EARS), then booted nas4free, but no disk can be seen...
Any ideas?

Re: eSata hard disk
I have found the problem: unfortunately the harddisk itself was the problem. I tried with another disk and it works well. Strange that the bios showed the defect hard disk...
