This happens just in the case if there is NO cron job defined before, e.g. on a fresh installation.
Hi there - just updated to N4F 4141 and noticed OBI said The Brig now works through that again so reinstalled.
My problem is updating the Tarballs.
I've tried several times but the Active Downloads indicator just freezes at 0% even after refreshing some time later and stays the same even when it now appears up in the existing Tarballs section?
Then if I try to add a jail I get this error:
"The following input errors were detected:
Creating a jail requires at least one "base" tarball. Please visit the Tarball Management page and download one.
As this is 64 bit Nas4free, creating a jail requires at least one "lib32" tarball. Please visit the Tarball Management page and download one."
i can't seem to fix this.
Any ideas please?
Thanks.

perhaps some permission issue?.
Post more info about the path that you use to install thebrig and user:group permission and RWX

Sorry for the delay in replying!
I have the brig installed here:
/mnt/pool_2/OBI/thebrig/
thebrig folder itself is drwxr-xr-x
whereas ls -l gives me a total of 6 (files?) but only shows (in terminal) thebrig_install.sh
with these permissions:
-rwxr-xr-x
in case I didn't male that clear in thebrig folder ls -l gives me:
nas4free: thebrig# ls -l
total 6
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 5300 Apr 2 18:32 thebrig_install.sh
thanks.

Just realised I also have a /mnt/pool_2/jail/thebrig folder which I am thinking is left over from pre OBI days - what's the best way to uninstall this to make sure I have no issues going forward?
Thanks!

Maybe this is the reason, have a look at config.xml, open it with the built-in editor - Tools > File Editor and open the file path /cf/conf/config.xml
At the very end of the file you should find an entry similar to that below:
Here the rootfolder, template and basejail folder should point to /mnt/pool_2/OBI/thebrig/ accordingly to your case - if they point to /mnt/pool_2/jail/thebrig then this would be the reason for the problem. You could change the pathes in the editor and save it and try again to fetch the tarballs. PERFORM A BACKUP OF THE CONFIG FILE in advance with System > Backup before you make any changes !
Thank you both for your advice!
I tried editing the config file as suggested however the brig is then not present in the extensions menu so i tried reinstalling from OBI but get this error:
thanks again!

I saw you had problems with static IP@ in comparism to DHCP (viewtopic.php?f=71&t=11189&p=76610#p76610), please try the installation with DHCP to see if the problem lays there. Otherwise you should maybe completely remove TheBrig (check for any occurrence in the config.xml file as described in my former post) and try a fresh installation.

I tried setting to DHCP and managed to reinstall the Brig - however after rebooting I click on TheBrig menu and get this:
Warning: file_get_contents(/tmp/thebrig.tmp): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /mnt/pool_2/OBI/thebrig/conf/ext/thebrig/extensions_thebrig.php on line 25 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /mnt/pool_2/OBI/thebrig/conf/ext/thebrig/extensions_thebrig.php:25) in /mnt/pool_2/OBI/thebrig/conf/ext/thebrig/extensions_thebrig.php on line 26 Warning: require_once(/conf/ext/thebrig/functions.inc): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /mnt/pool_2/OBI/thebrig/conf/ext/thebrig/extensions_thebrig.php on line 32 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/conf/ext/thebrig/functions.inc' (include_path='.:/etc/inc:/usr/local/www') in /mnt/pool_2/OBI/thebrig/conf/ext/thebrig/extensions_thebrig.php on line 32
Thanks s for the help again!

TheBrig -> Updates -> TheBrig Manager has been showing a version 1 availability for a while. Has anyone tried it? I use my jails for backups so I'm a little reluctant to be a guinea pig.
^^ I think clicking update simply pulls the latest code from the github repo. They don't really have any version numbers on there.
@alexey123
I can't seem to mount my dataset inside of a jail that I created. My jail resides at /mnt/tank/jails/thebrig/jailname & I'm trying to mount /tank/media at /mnt/mediaMnt under jailname.
To this end, I'm using the "ZFS dataset, mounted to jail" option. The line in there reads - "tank/media|/mnt/mediaMnt"
I have enforce_statfs set to 0 and have the following entries under 'In jail allow:'
allow.mount
allow.mount.devfs
allow.mount.procfs
allow.mount.zfs

@stalker : foes into fstab. Post #4 I think and #23 tell, page 1 of this thread. Don't forget to create the mountpoint first.

Spare1: HP DL360 G7; 6 GB ECC RAM; 1 Xeon CPU; 5 x 500 GB disks on H210i
Backup1: HP DL380 G7; 24 GB ECC RAM; 2 Xeon E5645 CPUs; 8 x 500 GB disks on IBM M1015 flashed to LSI9211-IT
I have a new installation of Nas4Free (10.3.0.3 - Pilingitam (revision 4374)) loaded on USB which appears to be running fine, so I loaded Onebuttoninstaller, the Extensions tab appeared on the top, I then loaded Plex, I could load the Plex WebGUI in Firefox with no problem, after a reboot of the server Onebuttoninstalled ,Extension tab and Plex have disappeared.
IPv4 servers are loaded and set to STATIC.
When I enter System|Advanced|Command Scripts I see:
/usr/local/bin/php-cgi -f /mnt/obi/onebuttoninstaller/onebuttoninstaller-start.php PostInit
/mnt/plex/plex/plexinit PostInit
/usr/local/bin/php-cgi -f /mnt/obi/onebuttoninstaller/onebuttoninstaller-stop.php Shutdown
If I am correct Onebuttoninstaller and plex are loaded, something else is stopping them from operating.
My other problem is that I don't know what settings to use for a couple of 3TB hard drives taken from our old Openmediavault system, they were setup as individual units not Raid, If possible I would like to set them up as Read Only so I can transfer the data to the new system, I worked out how to install NTFS drives fine, OMV drives seem to be a completely different problem.
Any help sorting this out would be appreciated
Cheers Glenn
/mnt/OBI must be on your data disk so must be like: /mnt/MypoolofDisk/OBI
and please post a sreen capture of your system to check if you use full, embeded or live version of N4F

You can mount Ext4 disk to read it and trasfer data.
BUT REMEMBER: N4F is based on BSD and Filesystem recomended to use are : UFS and ZFS, so please consider to reformat your 3TB Disk as ZFS and use it in a ZFS pool once you copy the desired files.
PD: Please read FAQs:

I tried to mount OBI and Plex in Services|CIFS/SMB|Shares, then did a reboot of the server.

The Extension tab did not return, have I put /mnt/obi in the wrong spot?
I only want to mount the OMV drives to transfer the data to the N4F disks.
Ext4 didn't help, I selected GTP Partition and MBR Partition, I have also tried Ext2/3 and NTFS with both partition types.

OK, for your system grab I see that you boot froma liveUSB version, so all changes that you do in N4F are lost on reboot ( this is the correct way liveUSB works).
This is not what you want, you want to use embeded install, so please use option 9 in shell menu and do a new fresh install in a new boot device (eg: in a new USB), once installed, umplug your actual liveUSB and boot from new embeded install.
