Last night I tried upgrading from FreeNAS 0.7.2 to the latest NAS4Free (9.1.0.1). After getting upgraded I went to mount my encrypted disks, however I was greeted by a message saying "incorrect passphrase". I tried over and over and made sure I had my passphrase correct, but the drive would not mount. This was rather worrisome. Very luckily, I made a backup of my 0.7.2 system (embedded setup), so I wrote that back to the disk and tried again. I tried to mount the encrypted disks again, and much to my relief it works on the first try.
So is that it? Does my use of encrypted disks prohibit me from updating to NAS4Free?

Re: Disk encryption not supported after upgrade?
Perhaps your Passphrase have not supported characters?.
Please read Special note for encryption on readme file http://sourceforge.net/projects/nas4fre ... t/download

Special note for encryption
===========================
Due to fixing a bug in the encryption, a pass phrase which contains
special characters, such as '&', may not work as previous version.
If you have a trouble, please change the phrase without special characters
in old version, then re-change it to the phrase you want in new version.
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)

Re: Disk encryption not supported after upgrade?
Thank you, raulfg3. My passphrase does not contain any '&' characters, but it does contain other non-alphanumeric characters. I will try this approach to see if it resolves the issue.

Re: Disk encryption not supported after upgrade?
For future reference, this workaround did resolve the issue.
