Hi Team,
I am using nas4free 9.1.0.1 in our tv channel as online storage of video ingest. suddenly it has rebooted and started rebuilding. after rebuilding of 41 percent some errors are comming. And the geom raid5 status changed to DEGRADED. Please give me some solution. Bcoz i have data of 7 months in it.

it sounds like some faulty hardware. but you provides to little information.

has a hd failed?

have you run memtest?

etc..

and you should still be able to accsess a raid5 in degraded state.
Nas4Free 11.1.0.4.4517. Supermicro X10SLL-F, 16gb ECC, i3 4130, IBM M1015 with IT firmware. 4x 3tb WD Red, 4x 2TB Samsung F4, both GEOM AES 256 encrypted.

Still I can access raid volume and i am now taking backup of data. And the nas4free server is in rebulding state now. i dont have ran memtest. how to test this command i dont know.

when i am accessing a large directory, then suddenly the server is rebooting. But when i am accessing directory having small size data then its possible to copy through network.....Please help me out......

run a memtest for several passes

ok i will try.......i have some doubt on it. if i am booting memtest from usb then it will effect the configuration of nas4free or not.

12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)
