Re: AirPrint server
Have not. Have not tried. Did try just setting up an airprint server, not on a NAS. Given that it was not a home environment, soon became obvious that spending a few bucks on a Lantronix X-print box was going to be far more cost effective for a reliable solution, so I did that, after some hemming and hawing. Your economics may be different. It was under $100 used for the "commercial" version ("Network Edition"), and it has "just worked" since I set it up, serving up all the printers on the network (subnet, I suppose - subnet and network are one in this case. I don't recall if it works beyond a subnet - seems like it would require a good bit of network tweaking to do that.)
Whichever airprint server (software) I had tried was far less trouble-free - and less functional. I don't recall what that was. If you are trying to serve up a non-network (USB) printer you need (last I recall - check that versions have not changed options since) the "home" edition. All my printers are on the network and the "home" version had network limitations, so I got the network version.
Among other things (some software versions may do this just fine) the X-Print correctly accesses duplexing on my printers.
Best of luck with it, I'm not putting this out here to discourage you, just to point out an option that worked for me, even on my low cash budget, since it saved a lot of my low free-time budget.
