Upgrade iSCSI migration

Post by fivad »

I 'm planning to upgrade from version 0.7 Khasadar (revision 4919) to the latest version, currently 9.1.0.1 - Sandstorm (revision 775). As a direct upgrade is not supported, it will be a clean installation of 9.1.0.1 and (hopefully) data migration.

In the old system I have a hardware raid which is used for 4 iSCSI volumes and one NAS volume.

My questions:
1. Is it safe to import volumes created in 0.7 to 9.1.0.1?
2. Is it possible to import iSCSI volumes? Has anybody done that?
3. If yes, how risky it is for losing my data?
