Hey Guys
I setup NAS4Free on Raid 5 for my 2 1TB volumes. I then mounted the volume and created 3 seperate shares, but they all link to the same directory, so when I copy a file to Directory A it shows up in Directory B and C. How do I do it so that I have only 1 mount point and 3 different shares? I am lost here.
This is the old XigmaNAS forum in read only mode,
it will taken offline by the end of march 2021!
I like to aks Users and Admins to rewrite/take over important post from here into the new fresh main forum!
Its not possible for us to export from here and import it to the main forum!

Re: CIFS Share With RAID 5
better if use ZFS ( RaidZ1 = raid5), but is more robust.
To share in ZFS, you only need to create one dataset per folder and share this dataset.
PD: a simmilar post / question : viewtopic.php?f=57&t=3192
