Another working card - Syba HyperDuo SD-PEX40054

Post by Lee Sharp »

The Syba HyperDuo SD-PEX40054 is a PCI-e x2 4 port SATA III card using the Marvell 88SE9230 chipset. This is a later chipset commonly found on the better motherboards commonly recommended here. It can also be found quite cheaply.

I had a SATA card go out, and this was available locally. Pluged directly in, and it half height capable. Working well on a 12 drive ZFS system. However, it does NOT support port replicators.

I have not tested that, as it is not needed for this install. But it is a standard chipset used in many motherboards, so I suspect it does.
