I mounted my media filesystems in a jail as read-only.
Applications, running in the jail, in this case serviio, still can create new files in these filesystems, like metadata information.
Something I have overlooked or is this a bug ?
This is the old XigmaNAS forum in read only mode,
it will taken offline by the end of march 2021!
I like to aks Users and Admins to rewrite/take over important post from here into the new fresh main forum!
Its not possible for us to export from here and import it to the main forum!

Re: Jails and read-only filesystemS
metadata is created in /etc/db not in read only share ( not in video folders), so is not a bug.
