Hi
it might sound stupid, but i am a bit worried to lose data.
I opend my freenas box ( running the old freenas 0.7) and disconnectet (by accident) one drive that was just a single UTF drive in the configuration (not part of any raid)
Now after reconnecting it it's not accessable:
in Disk managemant it says: "ad8 missing"
in mountpoint it says : /dev/ad8p1 error retry
So what to do to get the drive and data back in the system?
should i deletethe mountpoint or should i delete the disk? what does "delete disk" actually do? does it kill all data or just takes the formatet disk out of the configuration so i could get it back into it afterwards?
Best
Robert

Re: remount disk after disconnection (disk missing)
I the end i worked it out.
It was not a configuration problem or anything to do with freenas.
but the sata cabel was still disconnectet even it looked perfecty. Hardware failure.
