No authentication from a Windows 7 machine
I have 2 machines running Windows 7 Professional. I have tried to mount several directories from my N4F server and have not been successful. The users have been set up on the N4F server, and it allows me to try and authenticate the user, but the server won't accept the password. I have changed the password several times, and still no connection. For instance, I am trying to mount my Apps directory, which has a 777 permission, and I am still unable to mount the directory. What am I doing wrong?

Did you set up Samba shares to the directories?

Yes... Also my user can't mount his own /home directory. When I attempt to mount the share, it ask for password, each time the authentication fails...

May sound stupid, but have you got a password set when you log into Windows Desktop?

Is the Workgroup name of the server and the client PC's the same?

Re: No authentication from a Windows 7 machine
Are you asking if the client machine is joined with workgroup name that is setup on the N4F server, then the answer is yes...
