Kernel module for Adaptec 6805

Post by cageybee »

Hello, need some help! I load Nas4Free from USB-flash. I have Adaptec 6805 and working kernel module made by Adaptec. I added "aacu64_load=YES" to the loader.conf.local through webgui and uploaded module into the /boot/modules, but after each reboot it is removed. So, raid remains unreachable. How to store this module for permanent automatic loading by OS kernel?

Hi
You need save to location /cf/boot/kernel
Before save it make /cf writable

Code: Select all

umount /cf
mount /dev/da1a /cf
Enjoy

Or you can ask NAS4Free developers to include the kernel module into distributions, so that all you need to worry in your next upgrade is to re-import your config files ;)
