revise wiki about tools to manage Raid: http://wiki.nas4free.org/doku.php?id=do ... aid5_tools

http://wiki.nas4free.org/doku.php?id=faq:0058

And please consider to migrate to ZFS in future, GEOM RAID is declare obsolete (Well perhaps obsolete is not the word, perhaps "problematic" ) by N4F developers, you can have same performance if use ZFS to manage Raids (pool in the terminology of ZFS), a good guide to understand is: http://forums.freenas.org/threads/slide ... oobs.7775/
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)

I agree. ZFS can't be beat. Highly recommended.
