GUI Problem after Update

Post by Dexter »

Hello folks,

I recently updated from 9.0.0.1 to the newest 9.1.0.1 version and now my WebGUI isn't working right anymore. It loads fine and all but the drop downs dont work.

I get the following errors:
Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined gui.js:44
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) http://10.0.1.11/javascript/navbar.js
Uncaught ReferenceError: $ is not defined index.php:146
event.returnValue is deprecated. Please use the standard event.preventDefault() instead.

I checked in the usr/home/www/javascript dir and there is no navbar.js the file search doesnt find one either. This happens with both versions 847 and 804

Force to reload discarting cache in your explorer, looks like a Explorer cache problem.

Try a new Explorer or PC not previously used to be sure.
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)

Doesn't work either with Chrome or Safari and after I cleared the cache manually.

The strange thing is if I visit some parts of the admin interface manually like Advanced -> File Manager it works there.

I still think that is a cache problem, but to be sure:

1- save your actual settings.
2- Do a new install ( not a upgrade), a full or embeded install
3 - restore your previosly saved config.

This time must work or if still fail is a explorer cache problem

The full reinstall solved the problem till I uploaded my saved config file, which in this turn then broke it again.

I don't know what causes this as with the previous version everything worked fine and I haven't changed anything on the config between versions.

EDIT: Found the problem! It seems the new version didn't like my SABNZBd and CouchPotato install that I had running. After I deleted the start ups in the boot script the problem went away.
