With the new build, i cannot access the webgui using the hostname (nas4free.local) anymore.
Looking at the ARP table there are two strange entries:
192.168.0.2 54:04:a6:7f:38:2e 67.215.65.132 LAN
67.215.65.132 54:04:a6:7f:38:2e hit-nxdomain.opendns.com LAN
My server is given external host address by ARP ! I don't think that is safe... Does it mean that all traffic to NAS4Free server is forwarded to hit-nxdomain.opendns.com (67.215.65.132) or am i totally wrong (hope so).
!! Please take notice !!
Apart from possible security hole, it is very inconvenient that nas4free.local is not in ARP table anymore!!! So have to use ip address....

Re: ARP Poisoning... saftey issue?
I have the OpenDNS servers configured in my router (Cisco E4200v2) and provided to all clients using DHCP (using reservations so my NAS4Free server always has same IP address). Worked fine witg previous built. Now when I turn off DHCP and use static address and manually configure DNS, my ARP table looks normal again. So somehow something is wrong with DHCP in new build, I guess....

Re: ARP Poisoning... saftey issue?
I use same CISCO router and DNS from my Internet Provider and DHCP with IP reservation for my NAS like you, and do not have poisoning, perhaps your OpenDNS is poisoning your router?:

Re: ARP Poisoning... saftey issue?
Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
Maybe OpenDNS is the problem source, but again with 9.1.0.1 I had no problems...
Unfortunatley I have v2 version of Cisco E4200, so i cannot install dd-wrt.... that's a rea pity since cisco firmware sucks...
