Hi,
Question as title: can anyone here tell me how to install NAS4Free on a full BSD installation ? I want to run a NAS but I will also need things like a Subversion server and a Git server as well as web and mail servers. I know that it compromises the intent to some extent but am happy to accept the compromise because I am a one-man-band company thta really doesn't need the expense of multiple servers.
Edit: I should say that my server (HP N54L) has a 200GB hard disk that I intend to install the software on as well as 3 off 2TB hard drives that I intend to use for data storage using ZFS. I am not going to run off a thumb device or off a CD.
Apologies if this question has already been answered but I did search and found nothing.
Thanks,
Boo

Re: Howto install NAS4Free on a full BSD installation ?
Thanks very much for your reply, but I would prefer to have a full BSD system in place because I would prefer to eg build packages on a native platform rather than a virtual one. Naively, NAS4Free is based on BSD so is there any reason it cannot run on a full BSD installation ? If it is possible I wold be grateful for any pointer as to how to accomplish that ?alexey123 wrote:Install Nas4Free, add jails with your favorite applications.
Thanks again,
Boo
