Support for the amd arm processors

Post by StefanAO »

... Sooner than later this thing will be available http://arstechnica.com/information-tech ... ron-a1100/... Any idea if nas4free will support this platform? I would like to update my current nas, and this SoC sure looks like a good option for me.
Cheers, Stefan

Seems like FreeBSD 10 has some support for ARM, and improving in FreeBSD 11 https://wiki.freebsd.org/FreeBSD/arm... I guess this will land on nas4free eventually, maybe not for my next NAS, but for the one after that ;)

If you can find ARM board with multiple SATA ports you can make money.

The maingroup is datacenters, with 2x10Gbps nic's and 8sata it works with a nas too.
Arm support though is another question.
