9.2.0.1.943: Errors in Disks Management

Post by martin_loos »

Hello,

get some Errors in the Disks Management Tab.

New installed 9.2.0.1.943 embedded on new USB flash drive.
After "clear and import disks", some of the Drives (da0 and da4) was not detected...
Reboot again the GUI was blocked, only ssh was working. "top" shows my that smartclr was at 100% load.
I'm waiting for 4 h but nothing happened, smartclr was always at 100% :( Have killed smartclr and GUI works again. :?
My ZFS was working at that time.

Using my old USB flash drive with 9.1.0.1.847 have no problems, all Drives will be detected

Does anyone have a solution for that problem?

In advanced thanks

Martin

Areca ARC-1220 Raid-Controller in JBOD

Hi martin_loos,

http://imageshack.com/a/img841/8034/op7c.png
This screenshot is not from 9.1.0.1.847 (847 does not have 2 controller columns).

Please check your setup/settings/screenshots and re-post.

After "clear and import" and reboot (FW 9.2.0.1.943)

Hi martin_loos,

That is weird. Can you please provide me the <disk></disk> section within your config.xml for further troubleshooting ?

Sure :-) Here you are https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/114 ... .1.943.xml

Looks like a problem with the Areca Driver. Wrote the "arcmsr_load = yes" into the loader.conf (over GUI), but it looks like ascmsr.ko didn't load during start up.
