Good afternoon.
Can I set up NAS4Free on an old PC hard drive then move that drive to an HP Mediasmart Server EX475? If so, is there anything special that I would need to do to get this configured and up and running?
Thanks.

Re: Setting up for use in HP Mediasmart EX475
after doing that with the embedded OS the first tricky part is the NIC and IP settings
it can be done blind [do it on a box with video and duplicate the steps blind]
or I believe it can also be done via SSH but I have not done so.

Would be great if the LED lights in the mediasmart server could also be used

You can buy VGA cable which connects to the debug header, this makes things easier.
