Un saluto a tutto il Forum.

La mia attuale configurazione è la seguente:
FreeNAS 0.7.2.8191 AMD64 Sabanda Full su HD - MB Asus AT3IONT-I (CPU Intel Atom 330) - RAM 4 GB DDR3 1066 MHz - HD 2 * Western Digital WD1003FBYX (RAID1 - UFS)

Per ottenere maggiore affidabilità ero deciso a passare a NAS4Free, non tramite aggiornamento ma con un'installazione pulita, anche perchè vorrei cambiare il file system da UFS a ZFS.

Pertanto dovrei anzitutto organizzare un backup dei dati, e avrei necessità di accedere al sistema; qui sorgono i problemi, visto che ciò che attribuivo inizialmente a un'anomalia della mia LAN si è rivelato qualcosa di più grave, stando alle informazioni disponibili sulla WebGUI.

Con le mie poche nozioni e consultando il forum, ho tentato di rimediare montando e smontando dischi e RAID, usando Fsck, estraendo e reinserendo i dischi. Dopo aver completato la sincronizzazione del disco contrassegnato dal flag "DIRTY", mi ero illuso che tutto fosse risolto, ma la situazione si è ripresentata alla successiva riaccensione (RAID DEGRADED, disco con "Flags: DIRTY, SYNCHRONIZING"). In più anche l'altro disco che risulta ""ACTIVE" viene segnalato alternativamente con il flag "DIRTY" oppure "NONE", col progredire della sincronizzazione, non so se questo sia normale.

Presumo di aver sbagliato dei passaggi, potete aiutarmi a capire quali? Vi ringrazio anticipatamente.

Dovresti postare cosa hai fatto esattamente, con i vari passaggi: senza è difficile dire cosa sia andato storto.

Le informazioni che hai postato si riferiscono allo stato attuale oppure a quello precedente i tuoi tentativi di riparazione? Se si riferiscono allo stato precedente allora posta quella attuali.

Prova poi a far completare la sincronizzazione e poi posta ancora le informazioni.

Le informazioni riportate erano successive al mio intervento; l'anomalia riscontrata il giorno prima si era ripresentata allo stesso modo, con uno dei due dischi nuovamente in SYNCHRONIZING e il RAID contrassegnato come DEGRADED.

Ho dunque tentato di rimediare in questo modo:

- Attesa del completamento della sincronizzazione del disco contrassegnato come DIRTY (circa 5 ore);

- Dal menù "Dischi" ho selezionato "Punto Di Mount" e ho scelto la maschera "Fsck";

- Ho selezionato il RAID dal menù a tendina e ho selezionato la casella "Smonta disco/partizione", quindi ho selezionato "Esegui";

- Ho atteso che finisse la procedura, assicurandomi che anche i led di attività della macchina fossero spenti; dopodichè sono passato alla maschera "Strumenti", ho selezionato il Punto di mount, il comando "mount", quindi ho selezionato "Esegui";

- Ho atteso la conclusione del processo, quindi ho spento e ho sperato. Oggi all'accensione il RAID e i dischi erano pienamente operativi; non so dire se ciascun passaggio fosse essenziale, ma il problema è stato risolto e spero di avere il tempo di passare al nuovo sistema prima che si ripresenti (è la seconda volta in circa tre anni).
