Hi All,
Wonder if anyone can help me on the following;
I have a gmirror shared as 'data' at /mount/data and all the company folders/files are shared out to everyone via a login script / mapped drive.
Now, we could do with a 'private folder' for directors only. How would I share say a newly created 'private' folder under the existing mount?
I assume I would make a user 'directors' and assign a password. Then create a share and assign that user. But hang on can you prevent access if the root is already shared?
Or is there a better way to do this?
TIA!

Re: Private folder under existing share
Hello,
My suggestion would be to create a separate folder for the management with a separate share. This makes it easier to enable a access controll with user/group permissions.
