Hey guys,
Today tried to restore my Windows 8.1 machine from a system image that was saved on a network drive on my Nas4Free machine. When I am browsing the folders on the Windows machine I am able to see that the backup is there. I had a problem today when I tried to actually restore my system from that image. I received an error saying that no system image could be found. I am thinking that this is probably something that I did wrong but since the image was created I am kind of confused as to why I would get this error. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Re: Windows 8.1 back-up
I should add my back-ups were saved in a CIFS share and I created a dataset just for the Windows 8.1 backups.

Windows 8.1 back-up
Hey Raul,
Thanks for your reply. I created a system image that was backed up to Nas4Free. When I tried to restore my Windows 8.1 machine from the backup I received a message saying that no back-ups were found. I was confused because the back-up was showing up on the Nas4Free system and also on the Windows 8.1 machine prior to trying to restore. I think the problem may have been my fault though because I had to manually type in the network path of where the backup was stored and I may have not typed it in correctly. I was mainly wondering if anybody had experienced success in restoring their system from a Nas4Free back-up and if they had to do anything other than creating the share to make it work correctly.
Thanks,
Mat Galligan

Re: Windows 8.1 back-up
Hi Mathew,
I did it on Win7 ultimate and it just worked. As I just had to use it once and as it just worked, I did not put much attention on how and why it worked. :-/
But it did...
Cheers,
Crowi
