Sabnzbd Fluctuating Download Speed

I have installed Sabnzbd in a jail (using the Brig) and it's successfully running on my embedded setup.

Just wanted to query if anyone here has had any issues with fluctuating download speeds. Sometimes it hits 7mb/s (max my connection can handle) but quite often fluctuates from anything between about 3 - 5 mb/s (occasionally dropping to about 1mb/s) - my average seems to be about 3.6mb/s which I would obviously like to improve as it's only about half of what I can manage.

Have experimented with different numbers of connections, doesn't seem to make any noticeable difference. My server can handle 50 simultaneous connections, currently running on 20, but have tried different increments of 5 between 20 and 50 - still fluctuates.

Have also tried setting article cache limit at 120M cause I read somewhere that can help - no difference between leaving this blank and using 120M.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Not the end of the world but would like maximise the potential of Sabnzbd if possible.

No, here its running nice with fullspeed and standard settings.

Reduced my number of connections to 3 (which I thought was kind've low but any more and it doesn't work) and it now works a treat
