Maybe this call for help isn't at this right place. I didn't found where to put it.
I have a fully working NAS4Free, 9.2.0.1.
But right now, I made an error: I closed the cover of the machine... Huh... what?
Now, when booting, I do not get the usual menu at the physical screen.
The usual menu is this menu, where the IP adress is given, and there are option 1 to 8 offered.
Instead, now, there are text on the screen, with the last startup log and a login welcome.

And then I am on a command line.
Because I know the IP adress on my network, I can access it with my browser, and there everything works fine and no error is clearly visible for a neophyte like me. My shares are accessible.
In fact, everything works fine. Except that the physical screen seems to be logged like in a console, and not trought the "normal" menu system.
Would any of you know why did this happened, and how to correct it?
Thank you for your help.
V.

Re: Problem at startup. No menu on the screen.
I upgraded my NAS4Free from 9.2.0.1.5something to the last 9.2.0.1.972. I solved the problem during the process.
But I am still curious..
WHAT HAPPENED???
Do any of you have an idea?

Re: Problem at startup. No menu on the screen.
probably a O.S. corruption, and a new install solve it, but please be carefull and save your actual config.xml to do a restore in case of a new corruption.vingfel wrote:I upgraded my NAS4Free from 9.2.0.1.5something to the last 9.2.0.1.972. I solved the problem during the process.
