How often should I have the ECC scrub?

It depends on your drives, Oracle recommends the following:
Run zpool scrub on a regular basis to identify data integrity problems:
If you have consumer-quality drives, consider a weekly scrubbing schedule.
If you have datacenter-quality drives, consider a monthly scrubbing schedule.
You should also run a scrub prior to replacing devices to ensure that all devices are currently operational.
Use zpool status on a weekly basis to monitor pool and pool device status. Also use fmdump or fmdump -eV to see if any device faults or errors have occurred.

My motherboard has memory scrub rate setting, I can have it check every 8 hours integrity of the ram, or slower.
So hardware ram scrub, not OS zpool

Hmmm IIRC that "8hrs" is not the delay between scrubs, but the time it take TO scrub the RAM(trying to remember the bios setting of a machine i have with ECC)
i would leave it at default, scrub eats mem BW and i have no idea if it's adaptive or intelligen enough to stop if there's demand, depending on your usage scenario you might or might not want that.
And even if you dont scrub often, any errors will be detected/corrected on the fly as ECC operates all the time
