can not transfert data on my ZFS NAS

Post by tynolol »

Hello everyone,

At first : I am using MacOS so AFP service is actived on my nas4free config.

I have a problem with my NAS. I can not copy/past data on it where as it is empty.

As you can see on the pictures below, there is lot of space on my two ZFS :

But when I try to copy/past something on one of the two ZFS, I have this message :

Which means : Impossible to past the file called "dossier sans titre" because there is not free space enough.

I don't know why ?!

Thank you

probably you share something like /mnt/NAS that is your mount pool, this is bad, and you need to share /mnt/NAS/Data or something simmilar.

Plase post your share config and Diagnostics|Information http://wiki.nas4free.org/doku.php?id=do ... nformation

specifically mount points and space used
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)

ok, you share /mnt that is the cause you have your disk full ( your boot disk), you need to create a folder inside your mount point and share it, something like /mnt/NAS/TM

PD: To avoid more problems, you need to manually delete all files on /mnt excep new folder /NAS/TM (to recover space on "/" <- System disk )

because if you share /mnt you are sharing your boot device NOT your data Disk

Ok thank you.

I have an other question : why is the free space of 7,99To where as the space used is 0% and the total size 13,6To ??

Thank you

the other space is used for parity.
