I am happy with IDE PATA and SATA flash or small Hdd
letting hardware boot the way it did from the factory has always been a lot less troublesome for me.

in the early days of USB booting I believe a lot of the bios issues were not as perfected as today's [main stream] USB booting.
early results seem to have been all over the place, and since it is "real mode" all sorts of limitation and conditions are important
current equipment usb booting is a far more finished product. [this whole paragraph is IMHO]

The problem is also when i boot with cd / dvd, I can boot with Windows via USB, so the computer can boot via USB and I use the usb key, I have also tryed with different USB key

I have also upgrade bios to the newest.

My supermicro box wont boot from a CD for whatever reason. So I created the USB stick on another machine then simply used the old sneaker net to go transfer the usb to the supermicro.
