WIndows 7 can't log on to nas4free box

Hi everyone,

I'm a complete newbie with this stuff and I readily admit I know enough to be dangerous ;)

I setup a nas4free box last night and everything was going just fine. I can connect to it using my linux machine and I was even copying files to/from it this morning. The problem is with my Windows 7 machine.

On my win 7 machine, I see the nas4free box listed in my network but when I try to log into it, it puts the name of the computer before my username. So if my win 7 machine is called BOB and my nas4free machine's username is JERRY, win 7 is making the username:

BOB/JERRY

and I think this is making the login fail. On the other hand, I could be way off base here. Any help would be appreciated. I did search for an answer to my problem, but I didn't see anything...sorry if I missed it.

Looks like I may have answered my own question....I made a user for the windows 7 machine and then I was able to log in from there.
