ISCSI fail to start after reboot

Post by jtcary »

Hi Everyone,

I'm running Nas4 Free 9.2.0.1 - Shigawire (revision 972) on a Dell FS12 with 9 1TB Hard Drives and 3 Samsung SSD's. The server rebooted last night. This morning i discovered that the ISCSI targets aren't accessible. NFS shares are working correctly.

This is what I see in the logs whenever I try to Save and Restart the iSCSI service.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: ISCSI fail to start after reboot

I'm getting closer. it looks like after the reboot the external usb hard drive and the usb boot stick swapped names. The USB hard drive was originally da12 and now the usb boot stick is da12. Anyone know how to change them?

using external usb drives for storage is discouraged for exactly that reason (and others)
