Can you still access the webGUI and is the error repeating after a reboot?

The config.inc is needed for php, so there should be no problem with your data.

In the worst case you need to re-install Nas4free on your boot device and if you have saved your Configuration, you can import all your settings again.

I cant access the webGUI. Neither can i access my files via samba :/ And yes, i have tried rebooting and testing all i can find on google. Is it possible to reinstall nas4free without loosing the files? It's all in a vm in ESXi.

You are running NAS4Free in a VM?

Yes. I have been running Nas4Free in a VM in a year or so, on my server. It has worked excellent until lately when i rebooted it.

Edit: the only fail i can find is that i don't have the /usr/local/share/pear folder. But does that make me don't have access to my files via samba?

Maybe the complete configuration does not get loaded, better do a fresh install.

Here is an interesting thread about Freenas or NAS4free in VMs
