Any reason you want to use qBitTorrent? NAS4Free comes with Transmission built in... I am not familiar with qBitTorrent, but it might be similar to Deluge in terms of running it in console. Deluge uses a deamon, console and web interface, which all run under different instances and if you want to go headless you need to run all of them... I remember it was rather complicated to set everything up!

Code: Select all

qbittorrent ~/ root~# qbittorrent-nox --help
Usage:
        qbittorrent-nox --version: displays program version
        qbittorrent-nox -d | --daemon: run in daemon-mode (background)
qbittorrent-nox --help: displays this help message
qbittorrent-nox --webui-port=x: changes the webui port (current: 8080)
qbittorrent-nox [files or urls]: downloads the torrents passed by the user (optional)
"qbittorrent-nox -d" runs the deamon-mode, so you can close putty.

Hello!

I tried, but I can't find -d option. Could you tell me your qBitTorrent's version number?

Code: Select all

qbittorrent ~/ root~# qbittorrent-nox --version
qBittorrent v3.1.10
I installed from ports: cd /usr/ports/net-p2p/qbittorrent/ && make install clean
in Finch/Qjail.

I can't find my /usr/ports directory!
My op system is NAS4FREE, I think, you installed the original freebsd and after you installed the qBitTorrent, didn't you?

Thanks for your answer!

By the way,

Does " Transmission " have built-in integrated bittorrent search engines functions ?
