Re: Problem with SATA ports on MB GIGABYTE GA-MA74GM-S2H
Do you use external enclosure disk?.
Please try to conect disk to Board using one good SATA cable if possible with metalic clip like this http://www.alternate.es/html/product/De ... e/791618/?
I have a similar problem when update from FreeNAS 0.7.2 (BSD 7) to FreeNAS 0.7.5 (BSD 9), and was gone using good SATA cables. somethig changes in AHCI detection of BSD7 to BSD 9 ( BSD 9 is more sensitive with ahci timeout , and timeots are normally for long/bad cables or Disk enclosure no proffesional)

12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)

No, all HDD are internal. 5x750 Gb Western Digital are one RAIDZ massive, all connected with the short sata cables to MB. Not worked from Nas4Free.
5x1.5 Tb and 500 Mb Samsung's connected to PCI and ePCI controllers.
All in case Centurion 590: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Cool ... urion_590/
with one dock: http://www.ssi.com.tw/en/goods.php?act=view&no=31
2 Samsung's inserted to dock (one slot is free).
I find the like problem in the forum:

Re: Problem with SATA ports on MB GIGABYTE GA-MA74GM-S2H
This problem is not solved and present not only GIGABYTE
For example create test machine with Parallels, and get same problem with SATA drives
