Cannot delete files

Post by jeffreywenzel »

I have setup nas4free and am using CIFS share with guest access.
Everything has been working fine until recently.
I can no longer delete certain files off the drive (see picture)
I only use guest access and the only way to delete files is thought the file browser via the webGUI
Any help is appreciated

Using the file browser in the web gui check the permissions. I bet the files you can't delete have restricted permission.

If using the command line via ssh get familiar with chown to change ownership, chmod to change permissions.

In your CIF/Samba settings you have to add to aux parameters those line you see in the foto then save and restart the service.

All problem solved.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

only for new files and folders, for actual files and folders must need to modify permissions by hand.

Thanks for the tips! I added aux parameters.
The permission on the files are -rw-r-----
Hopefully the problem does not persist.
Thanks!
