M1015 IT behaves differently

Post by renjithc »

Hi .. I finally got an M1015 controller ehich I flashed to IT mode to hook up more drives. It's then I noticed one thing - it shows up HDD's as da0, da1 .. instead of the ada0,1,2 of my mobo. the difference here is that they are not showing up the model number or serial number contrary to my motherboard sata conns - which would make it extremely tough for me to identify the hdd's & makes me wonder how zfs would identify the disks and even do any smart control functions.

I'm using Nas4Free 9.0.0.1 - Sandstorm (revision 148), DualCore E2160, 6GB ECC RAM

Its my first time with an M1015.
