Hi there, I've recently built a storage server for the company office that I am managing and I'm currently working on finding a decent off-site backup solution.
The company has always used Windows Server until recently and then used Jungledisk for off-site storage. It would therefore be a pretty decent option to continue using this service but I'm not sure how to begin running the software on nas4free. There is a Linux client available and my understanding is that BSD is able to run these, but my familiarity with doing this is essentially nil.
I also understand that it may be possible to run crashplan, though I am a little leary of needing a GUI client to configure this afterwards and my understanding here is both that it's difficult and that here in the UK, there is no support for business use.
The final option that I am aware of is tarsnap that does have a native BSD client. I do have questions regarding this service for UK usage, I have come across threads across the interwebs detailing excruciatingly slow restores even for users in the US which would not be great for us as a company and I have sent an email to the developer asking about this. Further, would I need to run the native client in a jail? Would this be beneficial.
At present, I have our users accessing a limited subset of the data on the NAS and a I'm using rsync to back that up to an external drive, but long term I am seeking something more robust, with the external drive still being used, but only as an additional backup solution to the cloud backup.
I am actively researching this, but I am hoping that people with more knowledge than myself can perhaps guide me onto a productive path. Many thanks to you all.

Re: Jungledisk or other Cloud Backup
A while back someone setup Own Cloud to do similar stuff that your looking to do.
Although being an office setting it should not be too difficult to find a windows or linux box that could run a backup utility that would access the NAS4Free shares.

Re: Jungledisk or other Cloud Backup
I am doing offsite backup solution for my data through Ahsay Backup Software. Ahsay is a robust cross- platform backup solution which allows businesses and managed backup service provider to backup virtual machines, We can run virtualized backup server in the public cloud such as Amazon S3 so that we don't need to maintain any server and storage hardware. So try it one time....http://www.ahsay.com/jsp/en/home/index. ... s_overview
