Today I've tried to setup a "single run" job to transfer a huge amount of data from a QNAP device to a brand new N4F microserver.
Any activation of the replication job proved to be unsuccessful. The Rsync Server log reported "error in protocol data stream". Don't know what is the Rsync version in use on the Qnap.
After some research I found that the 3.1.0 Rsync release (N4F stable) is affected by a bug that might cause this issue.
So I downloaded the brand new N4F Alpha version and the job has been able to start without any Issue (after having understood that I had to specify UID and GUID on the Module to prevent Authorization issues).
Hope useful
