iscsi file

Post by veritech »

Hi,
I am trying to create an iSCSI target. I create an extent,

name: extent-srvname
type: file
path: /mnt/Pool1/extent.srvname
size 110Gb

save and apply
then I touch the file in a putty session "touch /mnt/Pool1/extent.srvname"

but when I create the target, save and apply, the file stays at 0 bytes.

any reason why?

it seems to be a hit and miss. I created a bunch the other day, and they have a size, but today the same process isn't working.

Thanks

I think it was one of the esxi machine locked in a iSCSI scan causing this. I just rebooted the esxi host and the files now have a size.
