Nas4Free Rsync Client

Post by rlbewick »

Trying to configure Nas4Free to act as the client to WindowsXP rsync server.

I have DeltaCopy Server configured and running on WindowsXP.

I have Nas4Free Rsync Client configured to back up data from the DeltaCopy Server.

Yes, CIF-SMB are configured as well as Rsync. When the command is executed nothing happens.

The log file says: Jul 29 14:50:00 nas4free root: Start of remote RSYNC synchronization from 192.168.1.101 on 192.168.1.101 to /mnt/Admin_Backups/Backups/
Jul 29 14:50:00 nas4free root: End of remote RSYNC synchronization from 192.168.1.101 on 192.168.1.101 to /mnt/Admin_Backups/Backups/

All share information in DeltaCopy, SMB and Rsync use the share name "Admin_Backups".

Am I missing something simple here? Thanks :)

Yes, I was missing something or better yet not doing it incorrectly.

When Nas4Free is the Client (receiving the data) and WindowsXP is the server via Deltacopy then....

Local share (destination) = path to the share on Nas4Free (example: /mnt/wii/wii/)

Remote Rsync Server = IP or name of WindowsXP Deltacopy Server

Remote module (source) = Final path the destination (example: /mnt/wii/wii/ the Final path is wii/, at the end)

Hope this helps someone in the future...
