Hello everybody,
Here is description of my problem:
2x Fresh install of NAS4Free 9.3.0.2 - Nayla (revision 1283)
FreeBSD Revision: 199506
FreeBSD 9.3-RELEASE-p7 #0 r276635M: Sun Jan 4 00:32:46 CET 2015
1. NAS
Platform: x64-embedded on Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X3220 @ 2.40GHz
System: Intel S3000AHLX
System bios: Intel Corporation version: S3000.86B.02.00.0054.061120091710 06/11/2009
2. NAS
Platform: x64-embedded on Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X3220 @ 2.40GHz
System: Intel S3000AHLX
System bios Intel Corporation version: S3000.86B.02.00.0044.071120071047 07/11/2007
Than I configure LAN em0 with IP 192.168.100.12 on first NAS and IP 192.168.100.13 on second NAS
Next step on both NAS:
Network - Interface Management - add Interface "em1"
Network - Interface Management - add Interface "em1"
then restart and define IP addresses on this interfaces (192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2)
restart both machines
Last step is define CARP interface
Network | Interface Management | CARP
first: carp0, VHID: 5, VIPADDR: 192.168.100.14, ADVSKEW: 100, pass: XXXXX
first: carp0, VHID: 5, VIPADDR: 192.168.100.14, ADVSKEW: 200, pass: XXXXX
restart
After this there are both machines in infinite restart loop:
- both machines boot normaly to "Console Menu"
- I see one or two seconds this menu and suddenly without any message machines reboot
"Solution" is disconect LAN cable. Then machines boots and waits in "Console menu" without any problem. When I connect LAN cable back, machines goes to restart again.
In NAS4Free-9.1.0.1 rev 847 works this great.
Additional information:
Machines reboots, when I connect cable to interface which works as CARP interface (in this case "em0") Something wrong with CARP in FreeBSD 9.3 ???
"em1" is ready for HAST sync
